ComingtoTheaters&DigitalSeptember20InAUGGIE,FelixGreystone(RichardKind)isforcedintoearlyretirementandfallsinlovewithanaugmentedrealitycompanion,tothedetrimentofhisrelationshipwithhiswifeanddaughter.Athisearlyretirementparty,FelixGreystoneisgivenapre-releaseversionofanAUGGIE,apairofaugmentedrealitysmartglassesthatprojectaperfectlyhumancompanionontohisworld.WhenFelixswifeAnnegetsapromotionandhisdaughterGracegetsseriouswithherboyfriend,Felixsuddenlyfeelsveryalone.Heopensuptohisnewcompanion,AUGGIE,andisrecognizedandappreciatedbyher.Hefeelstheacheoflonelinessdissipate.AUGGIEreawakensapassioninFelix,andtohisownsurprise,hebeginstofallforher.Inaworldthatfeelstoogoodtobetrue,itsdifficultforFelixtorecognizehisincreasingaddictiontothetechnology,losingsightofwhattrulymatters.
